David is a multidisciplinary designer with a hands-on approach and an curious mind.
His practice is rooted in graphic design but expands to physical and digital products and spaces as well as timebased, audiovisual and interactive experiences.
He has worked for institutions such as Museum Ludwig, Kunstmuseen Krefeld and Museum Folkwang, for curators like Kasper König and artists such as Gerhard Richter, James Rosenquist and Thomas Struth.
David was the art director for Red Bull Music Academy and co-founder of the award-winning design studio David & Paul.
As a Creative Director, he has been involved in the creation of virtual and augmented reality experiences for Deutsche Telekom at headtrip. He has developed the design-driven CSS framework Fluency, and taught design at Rhine-Waal University.
His design work has won awards from ADC Global and ADC Germany and is part of the permanent collection of the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
Currently, David is the Strategy & Design Lead at ByteYard, a boutique agency specializing in web development, design and software consulting.
Together with his wife, David runs the fashion label YYULI.
